Spirited Away, it’s more than an animation

I’m one of those who have to enjoy New Year holiday at home. There’s nothing better than takin a nap, eating, listening to music and watching TV! Sounds like I’m a couch potato, err sort of!

I was too free on this lovely Saturday, still has nothing useful to deal with, thus I took my time on a Japanese movie, no actually it’s an animation called “Spirited Away”.

It was released in 2001 but I just got to know it six years after that or just a month ago. My friend from university is a movie maniac and he has been convincing me that this film is splendid. I finally borrowed its CD from another of my friend.

The story was about a girl named Chihiro and her parents who got lost in a strange city while they were on the way moving to their new house. Chihiro’s parents were transformed into pigs and the girl was struggling all the way to turn them into normal along with the help from a boy called Haku. She had to work in a bathhouse owned by a witch Yubaba who almost got Chihiro’s spirit by making her forget who she was. The girl ventured through many adventures and finally got her parents back.

Excuse me, do not consider it as only the animation! This one is special, it’s unique with its plot, characters, creativity and some good points that were expressed out by a famous director Hayao Miyazaki. You will be surprised to know how many gorgeous awards the animation has got including prestigious Oscar - Best Animated Feature, check it out for more awards http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0245429/awards

Hollywood is not always the best, If you are not too busy, try “Spirited away”. I was even spirited by the movie.
