I don’t like wandering around choosing a present for friends on their birthday as I don’t know what to buy for them and it’s not wise to ask what they want. I actually buy useful presents, I mean something  that won’t be put on a table or wherever that they will be covered in thick dust after a week past or so, but things that can be used in daily life.

However, it might take me a whole day chasing after the PREFECT birthday present if a receiver means a lot to me and I’m not talkin about a boyfriend. Today after work, I went to Siam Square where I wrongly assumed to be full of cool stuff. I got nothing, though I spent around two hours. Yes, I’m choosy since I want the best gift for ‘her’.

Her name is Boom who is only a few years older than me so I call her a sister. I got to know her when I was an intern and she was a staff there. With our ages and being only two girls at the Sport Desk, we were so close and we finally became a great couple who always got a rumor of being gay hahaha.

She has been so nice since we knew each other and I really appreciate what she has done for me so far. She is like my real sister; she always gives me a call when I need encouragement, or some sms just to cheer me up. I can take another two hours or more to get her a fantastic present.

Happy Birthday in advance na ka~

Talking about reading books, I think I’m a weirdo. Once I find the book I’m reading very interesting and fun, I don’t want to finish it and that’s why I read it only a few chapters at a time. For instance, I’ve been reading the last book of Harry Potter, which is one of the greatest books I’ve ever read, for over two months and now it has more than a half of the book left to go through. I’ve been quite busy these days plus I don’t want to finish it as I’ve already reached its sub climax and you know it’s simply thrilling!

This is kinda weird I guess but who cares?!?!? I’ve tried to figure out the reason why I’m like this but I still don’t know why. Anyway, I’m writing about this today since it’s Friday and the weekend is coming,,,time to continue my fun with Harry Potter! Cheers!

I’m already 23 years old but my mom still acts like I’m a 10-year-old little girl who has to be taken care and controlled all the time.

I could have been used to this kind of thing but this is too much! I know she’s worried about her children due to her instinct of being a mother but I am mature enough, at least since the last time I checked. She usually gets upset when I get home late, well she says ‘9 pm is late’!!!! Oh come on! I wish I was 30 years old now….!!!

I’ve been trying to understand her but I don’t think I really make it!

Beggars can be widely seen in Bangkok especially in many crowded areas, thus I’m used to the old or children sitting on the ground, gazing at the passers-by and asking for money.

Yesterday I was crossing the bridge, I by chance saw a foreigner (a white guy) sitting on his small luggage with a small cup in front of him which was implied that he was begging for money. All of a sudden I awfully felt sorry for him. He must have had some reason to do this, I was thinking in my mind while walking past him. I shouldn’t have done that!!!! I should have given him some money or talked to him a bit!! He might have lost his wallet or something as he was wearing in good clothing, meaning he was really in need of money whereas he didn’t want to beg at all, he just had no choice!

I was so sorry for ignoring him at that time as I should have given him 50 Baht or more in case he wanted to make an international call. That was better for him than being a beggar.

Well, I think I’m too sensitive and always feel sorry for people who are suffering. I can remember when I was a kid aged around 10 years old, I was playing with my daddy in front of a house. Then, a joss stick seller came to us and he was trying to sell his stuff. I can’t remember what he was exactly saying to convince us to buy but I was crying as I felt sorry for him!!!! I have been teasing by my family until now!!!

The weather in Thailand has been cold since Jan 1st and seems to get a little bit colder. As I have written recently that I can’t stand the cold weather, thus I have suffered these days.

The bad weather plus the death of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana made my Thursday blue.

In the morning, I was being on a skytrain where was usually crowded with people wearing in black and white (most in black) in order to express their condolence over the princess’s death.

Hope tomorrow will be better. I reckon it was not really a good start of the new year for me

Thai people were greeted on New Year with one of the country’s biggest loss ever!

On Tuesday night around 2:45 am, Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana passed away after she had been closely monitored by skilled physicians in the Siriraj Hosptial for a while. It’s such a loss!

HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana was a sister of two Kings, HM King Ananda Mahidol (King Rama VIII, he passed away in 1946) and the reigning monarch HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX). She was 85 years old and she had done so many things for the country and her people.

I was really shocked when my friend called me in the early morning, telling me about her death and asking me to wear in black and white. I knew she was not so well when she was in the hospital but I never thought it would end up like this. I’m so depressed, the loss is not really a good sign for the beginning of the year for the Thais. What I’m concerned about is our King, hope he’s alright even though her death must have really affected a brother like him.

I join all the Thai people to express the condolence over our beloved princess’s death…May she rest in peace, she will be remembered as one of the greatest princesses in every Thai’s heart.

I’ve been curious about those who are mixed up or people who were born from parents with different nationalities and languages. I have no idea how they live their lives and so on.

Since love affair is beyond frontier and distance gap is just nothing to couples who speak in different languages, own different eyes and hair color and have a variety of cultures, they can easily link the gap and eventually get married.

I’ve been wondering how the kids, who are born from those couples, are brought up, what language they are taught to speak and what culture the parents expect they to cling to. Who is the one to decide on what the kids are supposed to be, a father or a mother?

The most important thing, what are those kids proud of when they are mixed with two (in some case is more than two) nationalities of their parents? Suppose that the kid is born by Thai mother and American father, what’s the kid’s pride? Being American or Thai? And why?

World class golfer Tiger Wood is half Thai and American, his mother is Thai while his father is American. I don’t think so many people know about this and I’ve never known he’s proud of being Thai, NOT even talk about his pride of being mixed Thai! Maybe he’s Thai at heart but I just can’t see, yeah hope so!

Long holiday is coming!!!! Can’t wait till it comes! I love long vacation since Bangkok will be like a haunted city with a small number of traffic and people. That’s the unusual thing and that’s the reason why I usually stay in Bangkok during the long holiday!

Anyway, this year I feel like going to an upcountry where lots of beaches can be found! I’m sick of Bangkok!! Although, Bangkok is heaven on earth for many tourists, for me it’s super boring. No good air to breathe in, no nature to enjoy and worse are the crowd and loads of high buildings which give no sign of pleasantness at all!!!

I wish I could escape from this boring city to enjoy my HOLIDAY!

Yesterday appeared a post-coup general election in Thailand. As the Thais know, there are only two main political parties that had fought each other so far and as well as in the nail biting period. I voted for one of them of course while I gave a shit to the other who is just a puppet of a well-known bastard. I’m not gonna mention his name. Actually the political issue is somewhat prohibited among people.

The ignored party has won the election and I consider it as ‘Another Thailand’s crisis’. Damn, I don’t think some of you guys will get what I mean or how the election means to Thai people and the country but you are not to blame at all, thank you for dropping by anyway.

I really regret and am deeply depressed that the party has won. Politic has been the country’s main problem for many years and still, can’t be solved, and worse, the bastard is coming back when this party beat others.

My favourite party has gained a number of votes from people in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, whereas the winning party was overwhelming voted by people in up countries. Well, I’m not trying to be a jerk by setting a social gap or anything but if you didn’t notice, most of educated people well aware what the best thing for the country is. However, I didn’t say that those living in other provinces were uneducated, do not get me wrong! I just meant that the party is too clever, they know how to convince those, how to stir up a royalty and eventually how to destroy the country!

I have done what a good citizen is supposed to do by voting for ‘the best leader’ for the country’s sake. And now I’m really disappointed with the result but don’t know what to do but endure with what is gonna happen.

I feel pretty fine but what I’m worried the most is our beloved King, hope he won’t get upset with LOADS of upcoming problems and corruptions by the shitty, jerk and bastard politicians. Oh yeah, I feel so sorry for you, my Thailand, hope she is strong enough to all the damage she would face.

I’m Buddhist as well as another 95% of Thai people so Christmas is kinda nothing to us. However, if you have ever visited Thailand especially Bangkok during Christmas or the New Year, you might think I’m a liar as faked Christmas trees are widely seen around. What missing there are a family party, a turkey and other real Christmas ambiance.

I’ve never experienced Christmas, thus I have no idea what REAL Christmas is like. As I’ve seen in many movies, I can imagine when Christmas comes, people will be very joyful with a great party in a house decorated with lights and a lush Christmas tree along with loads of presents under it. I always believe that Christmas is not perfect without snow as the snow makes Christmas a romantic and magnificent night.

The Thai are not excited with Christmas presents preparation as the influence of Christmas has not been rooted that much yet. What impress us during the festival are lightings and large Christmas trees adorned with some lovely gadgets. Most of the trees are not green as they are usually made from other materials like plastic but still created in a tree shape. Some are gold, silver, white, violet, pink and so on. Although they don’t look so real, their elegant looks really stun us.

Anyway, does Santa Claus really exist in the North Pole? Is it possible to send him a mail?
