I have no clue at all when Thai national football team will earn a ticket to the World Cup! Every Thai has been looking for that day but tomorrow never comes.

Despite being a host, Thai boys didn’t reward loads of Thai fan with the victory against Oman in a thrilling World Cup qualifier on Wednesday evening. The visitor took the lead in just a 26th of a second and that was the only goal in the game.  Although the Thais tried to relentlessly attack for the whole game, it was ineffective.

Thailand lost to powerhouse Japan 1-4 in the first match of World Cup qualifier in Japan and due to the defeats, Thailand plunged into the bottom of the group - together with all the Thais’ hope on getting an opportunity in showcasing in the world pitch.

There’ve been many problems going on in Thai football industry and they are the main obstructions in going to the World Cup. I believe that once all the problems have been solved, Thailand will be in the last 32 teams for the world’s most amazing sporting event - World Cup, but the question is when!!

I’ve ever mentioned that I hardly watch TV especially Thai soap operas but I couldn’t help getting addicted to one which I’ve heard was adapted from an American television comedy drama ‘Ugly Betty’.

‘Miss rag’ is funny with its plot and all the cast especially a starring actress who is not considered as a Thai super star, she’s my favourite though and I ran into her in a park on the weekend!!

‘Sirapan’ or ‘Noon’ made her film debut in 2006 in a popular Thai film ‘Best friend’ and she later starred in many TV series. She looks like a tomboy, not very girlish I mean and she’s a talented actress, these are the reasons why she’s my favourite actress.

She visited the park with her niece (I guess). She was in jeans and a white shirt which made her look very cool and I even noticed her from 500m away although she was wearing sun glasses. I got to take a few phots with her and she was so friednly that I couldn’t help telling her “I really love your series”!!!. However, I just realised that I shouldn’t have said that!!

I’m posting a photo of me and Noon. Please do not compare her to me, she’s too pretty :)

Have you ever accidentally met someone who later turn to be in your not-many-best-friends list?

I went clubbing with my girl gang a few months ago at a very crowed club. The place was so packed that we had to share a tiny table with a group of four men and there were later more than 10 people on the table in which 4 people fitted. They drank and danced crazily on a limited space of the dance floor and without doubt, those guys were trying to flirt on some of my friends! I was the only one who weren’t drinking so I could see everything going on there.

However, one of those men came to me when I was about to go home. He told me that his friend asked him to ask for my number. I was not proud of that since it’s guys’ habbit which can always be seen when you go out at night. I refused to give him my number but he asked for my email address instead. I told him my email addie!

It was that guy who added me on msn. He’s one year younger than me and we have been talking on msn and also on the phone (I later gave him my number). He never hits on me but considers me as his big sister and always offers me some help. He’s now in Finland doing an internship in a hotel but he comes online almost everynight. Although we don’t talk so much each time we are online, he’s the one who says hi to me first. I don’t regret giving him my addie or telephone number. He’s been nice to me and I admit that he’s now a friend in need!

OK man, do not forget to bring me a lovely reindeer since I’ve already done what you’ve asked for - writing a post about you hahahaha.

When summer comes, it’s obviously followed by a huge flock of tourists flowing to Thailand all the season long. Most of the tourists head to the southern or eastern where beaches are plentiful and beautiful and they take this chance to stay till Songkran festival comes.

Bangkok is not a delightful place at all in summer since the weather is extremely hot plus the air pollution and several unpleasant things in this crazy capital city. I’m never fond of Bangkok, only one good thing in Bangkok is convenience and fully-available facilities and transportation. The hotter the weather is, the worse Bangkok becomes L It seems as if we are happy living in this well-developed city, I’m not actually.

However, think in a bright way, at least Bangkok never suffers from drought, flood or coldness. I can find everything I want in Bangkok, of course I’m not talking about nature and good air for my lungs. I can’t see any stars at night, when I look to the sky, what I can see is a number of high buildings. That is such a dull view at night.

Bangkok is heaven on earth!  Says who!?!?!?!?!

Summer is coming and it’s getting hot every day.  My colleagues were frustrated today at the office even though we had AC turned on. Due to the heat, I don’t like summer. However, if I hated summer, I’d not be able to live in Thailand as Thailand is hot all year long. Three seasons the country always faces are hot, hotter and hottest. It depends on the regions though.

I was in Lampang, the province in the north of Thailand, last year during Songkran (in April when the weather is the hottest in Thailand). The temperature reached 40C, that was the most horrible place and weather I’ve ever been in.

I was forced by the heat to wake up in the morning although I was still sleepy since the weather was too hot and I couldn’t curl up on my bed anymore. I had to wake up for a shower before the water was automatically heat up. I could have been boiled.

I hope it won’t be so hot this year but sounds like like I’m wishing for first snow in Thailand

My boss is a Londoner who has been here for only 2 years but he can speak quite fluent Thai. He’s now learning Thai language with a Thai teacher who comes to the office once a week or so as I can see. I couldn’t help hearing what my boss is learning and even when he is trying speaking Thai.

He has a small pad for jotting down new terms he’s learning. I think it’s quite hard for him to memorise those words as I realize how hard it is for me to memorise English vocabularies when I was in school.

I used to take English extra classes which plenty of students from various schools also did when I was in high school and the courses were really effective in terms of grammar and vocabularies. I learned new vocabs with songs, which were really enjoyable and helpful. We could enjoy singing and memorizing the words at the same time. We also sometimes hummed the songs and above all, it was extremely useful when we were taking English exam.

Here only a sample song of which I really love lyrics and meanings. The song is named Wisade, which means magnificent (or any other positive adjectives) in English. The song says;

(in Thai) Kae Fun Teung Ter Kuen Nee, Kae Nee Kor Wisade Laew, Dai Fun Hen Nar Ter, Tao Nee Kor Dee Lue Kern (Only dreaming of you this night is really magnificent)

(in English) Exceptional, Phenomenal, Wonderful, Superb, Fantastic, Terrific, Splendid

(in Thai) Kae Fun Teung Ter Kuen Nee, Kae Nee Kor Wisade Laew, Dai Fun Hen Nar Ter, Tao Nee Kor Dee Lue Kern

(in English) Magnificent, Fascinating, Fabulous, Chic, Hip, Miraculous, Prodigious, Marvelous

I’ve put all the songs in my iPod and it’s fun to sing along in mind when I’m alone on a skytrain or anywhere.

I was arguing with my sister while watching a TV commercial advertising presented by a young cute Thai lad who my sis is quite crazy about. I told her he was gay but she insisted he was straight.

I studied in the faculty of Communication Arts where half of men are gay, so it’s now easy for me to tell who are straight and who are not. Some of them are still identified though.

Straight men are rare breed nowadays, so I’m writing this on behalf of a girl for some tips how to define a gay. You need to have ‘gaydar’

1. It’s so obvious with the way they dress; tight men clothes in chichi style or in an extremely unique way.

2. They look a little bit arrogant which I don’t think they don’t mean to be but try to be girlish but they just can’t make it.

3. They don’t care about a girl, don’t even glance at her.

4. They are quite confident with they way they are.

5. You can’t exactly tell from their appearance but you can sense them!

I’m not saying being gay is a disaster, on the other hand, I have loads of gay friends and they are so smart and nice. I’ve only been wondering why a number of gay has been mounting in a couple of years.

My younger sister and brother have just finished their final exams, which mean they have reached their summer vacation and it will take 3 months long! For my sis, she graduated her last year in uni. My bro, he’s done his second year and has two more years till he finish uni. All these things are just reminding me of the time when I was in school!

I used to get a long break, I could skip classes or even take a nap, I had to wear the uni uniform and had loads of homework to deal with during the weekends, I had to sit, listening to what my lecturer were saying. I went shopping with friends after classes or just hung around the uni, having snacks and chatting with the girls. But now I don’t have a chance for those kind of things anymore. I have already graduated and started facing the world outside the classroom.

It’s been a year, bye bye to a student life…….

I’ve just got back from Maroon 5 concert! I was humming all the way back home, the concert was quite great. I went there with one of my friends and we got the tickets at 6:30 pm, it was just 2 hours before the performance started!

An auditorium was quite packed even though it was not as packed as I had expected. In order to heat us up, Maroon 5 begun with ‘Harder to breathe’, followed by loads of their hits like ‘Wake up call’, ‘Makes me wonder’, ‘This love’ (which really made the people stand up on their feet), ‘Won’t go home without you’ (which was the most sung along) and superbly ended their concert with a sweet love song ‘She will be loved’ (which truly melted girls’ hearts).

Not so many people were singing along as their tunes are quite unique and the beats are really fast, thus I could see most of them being stuck on their seats and now and then screamed once Adam, the lead singer and guitarist of the band, was trying to act cool which definitely worked!!!

Despite the fact that the sound was not so good, Maroon 5 sang in different rhythms from their original beats and the performance should have been longer than an hour and a half, they got 9 out of 10 from me!

They have already been loved!
