My friends and I didn’t go to the office today, all of us were working at home for some reason! I never wanted to work at home as it’s not the right place to work at all. I won’t be able to work with a bed next to my working desk, I even feel like I can’t force myself to work that much. I throw everything away when I’m home, I love listening to music and acting like a useless person :D

However, I was working at home today and I found it cool! But I still prefer working at the office after all. You can learn a lot of good things out of home, at least you can learn what other people are like and you can adapt yourself to live happily!

It’s a good feeling when you can get along very well with someone and you know that doesn’t happen so often. I was one of lots of new grads who had been looking for a job after we graduated and many of my friends got a job before I did. Some of them are suffering due to their bad colleagues so I was a little bit scared before I started the first job in my life. However, I considered myself very lucky to have great colleagues.

All of them are around my age and we are good friends. I need to repeat that ALL of them are fantastic, however, I feel I click so well with one of them. I think I can get along well with any of them anyway.

She’s mixed Thai and Indian but she can’t really speak Thai and that’s not a big deal at all. She’s 28 years old if I’m not mistaken and she’s sooooooo nice! She’s sweet, lovely and caring, I sometimes feel she’s my sister who looks extremely different from me :D  She stays in an apartment on Sukhumvit Road and that’s pretty close to my house. She invited to me her house and of course I will go visiting her!!! She will start working from home tomorrow and I won’t get to see her that much, hope she’s happy being a freelance!

I was sitting and looking at my new theme especially the word ‘Alitta’ for more than five minutes and I suddenly thought of the meaning of my real name, Alitta.

Many of my friends find my name really cool and so do I, although my mom didn’t realize its meaning at all when she named me. However, when I was in grade ten, my science teacher asked if I knew what my name meant, I said no and I was left wondering why she asked that question.  Then she told me that her daughter’s name was quite similar to mine, her name is ‘Alita’ which meant ‘A beauty without makeup’. The meaning sounds so great, doesn’t it? I assumed that my name had the same meaning as ‘Alita’. I reckon it has something to do with Pali language.

Anyway, all of my friends usually laugh out loud when I tell them what Alitta means. They give me a weird look and say something like ‘really!?!?’, ‘are you sure?’, ‘how do you know that?’.  Who cares??? Hahaha Anyway, Keep in mind guys, I’m a beauty without any kind of makeup hahaha. Hello, it means I’m good at heart, oohhh sounds like I’m narcissistic, well I’m notttttt..!!!!

Do you guys like the new theme of my blog? I really like it, it’s so cool! Thank you P’Jock!

I actually asked Jock, one of my colleagues, to create a new theme for my blog long time ago since I was fed up with my old one. “I love butterflies and purple”, that was what I told him. He only nodded his head signaling he understood what I had asked for. Anyway, I had waited for over a month but I saw no change. I kept asking him when he would do it for me, he always said “I have already started it, the draft is in my head.” I finally gave up bothering him, but still teased him sometimes.

However, I got a big surprise today. One of my friends popped in my msn, flattering my blog. He said the new theme was really great and I was confused as I didn’t know what he was talking about. After a minute of confusion, I right away checked out my blog and I was quite sure someone had done something to it. Yes, I was right, the theme was changed and that’s cool! I really love it at first glance, I love everything, the color, the butterflies and my name written in a strange pattern.

Thanks again to Jock and I will always look forward to your creative ideas for my blog haha…

PS. I’m now looking forward to a theme which will be created by another of my colleague who has moved to a new place. Hope it will be as cool as this :D

2. “Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can’t help but cry. I mean I’d love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff.” - Mariah Carey

* How old is Mariah? She doesn’t sound so mature.

3. “Every decade has an iconic blond like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana, and right now, I’m that icon.” - Paris Hilton

* Yes I agree as long as the term ‘blonde’ doesn’t mean a hair color

4. “I don’t really think. I just walk” - Paris Hilton

* Right, we never doubt that for a minute.

5. “If your parents never had children, chances are you won’t either” - Dick Cavett

* He’s genius since he could come up with such a strange quote.

6. “I was asked to come to Chicago because Chicago is one of our fifty-two states.” - Racquel Welch

* U.S. has 50 states plus the Never land and what else? The land before time?

7. “In an action film you act in the action; in a drama film you act in the drama.” — Belgian actor Jean-Claude van Damme.

* Really impressive!

I have never been interested in any Hollywood female stars, well I mean I never feel so special to any of them before. However, I was writing an article about a British female actress on the previous day and I almost fell for her, but I was still aware I was a girl.

Charming 23-year-old Keira Knightley really impressed me with her role Domino Harvey in ‘Domino’ and Elizabeth Swann in ‘Pirates Of the Caribbean’, that was not because of her appearance but her great talent in acting. Once I wrote about her and searched for loads of her photos for the article, I all of a sudden felt she was really attractive with her smile. Some say she is into appearing nude in the media, of course she gets a lot of money, I still feel she’s naive. She was truly born to be an actor, her parents must have been her inspiration as her mommy is a playwright and her daddy is an actor.

I find myself a bit weird when looking at her photos, she’s sooooo stunning, although she’s not as beautiful as some Hollywood celebrities. She rocks!

I collected 10 stupid celebrity quotes which are extremely funny and silly. Some celebs are real dumbos you have no idea.

1. “I’ve never really wanted to go to Japan, simply because I don’t really like eating fish, and I know that’s very popular out there in Africa” - Britney Spears

Did she ever take Geography class in school?

2. “I have hired a teacher to teach me the French language because I know they all speak French in Europe and I don’t want to talk any nonsense when I’m here” - Paris Hilton

Does she sound naive or retarded to you?

3. “What’s Walmart, do they sell like wall stuff?”

Who else? Ms. Paris Hilton!!!

4. “The word ‘genius’ isn’t applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.” - Joe Theisman - Football commentator and former American football quarterback

Nice name Norman Einstein! Who’s Albert Einstein then?

5. “Sorry, I don’t know much about you. I don’t follow tennis.” - Christina Aguilera to Tiger Woods, after he told her he loved her music.

Tiger Wood participates both in tennis Wimbledon and Nasdaq 100 Open

6. “Chemistry is a class you take in high school or college, where you figure out two plus two is ten, or something” - Dennis Rodman (ex NBA player).

Has he started playing basketball since he was born without attending school at all??

7. “China is a big country, inhabited by many Chinese.” - Charles De Gaulle (former French president)

Sounds better than Japan in Africa though

8. “I’m honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein.” - George W. Bush

Ladies and gentlemen in the US, your President!!

9. “I hate dead people.” - Paris Hilton
Come on girl, grow up!

10 “He treats us like men. He lets us wear earrings.” - Torrin Polk, University of Houston receiver, on his coach, John Jenkins

Try a mini skirt next time

I don’t like wandering around choosing a present for friends on their birthday as I don’t know what to buy for them and it’s not wise to ask what they want. I actually buy useful presents, I mean something  that won’t be put on a table or wherever that they will be covered in thick dust after a week past or so, but things that can be used in daily life.

However, it might take me a whole day chasing after the PREFECT birthday present if a receiver means a lot to me and I’m not talkin about a boyfriend. Today after work, I went to Siam Square where I wrongly assumed to be full of cool stuff. I got nothing, though I spent around two hours. Yes, I’m choosy since I want the best gift for ‘her’.

Her name is Boom who is only a few years older than me so I call her a sister. I got to know her when I was an intern and she was a staff there. With our ages and being only two girls at the Sport Desk, we were so close and we finally became a great couple who always got a rumor of being gay hahaha.

She has been so nice since we knew each other and I really appreciate what she has done for me so far. She is like my real sister; she always gives me a call when I need encouragement, or some sms just to cheer me up. I can take another two hours or more to get her a fantastic present.

Happy Birthday in advance na ka~

Well, I’m gonna talk about Thai celebrities, not those international ones. What do you think they are frightened of apart from of getting old which means lots of wrinkles and gaining weight? I’ve heard from my friends that one of the Thai celebs hate a ‘pineapple’!!! I understand that people are scared of something after they have experienced some terrible thing and that leads to a ‘phobia’. But in this case, I really want to know what that celeb had faced and became a pineapplephobia. Poor her, she misses one of the most tasty fruits in the world.

Moreover, a lovely teddy bear is also in the hated list too! One of female actors is frightened of the teddy bear…..again….teddy bear. She said it is spooky that’s why she is a ‘teddyphobia’ (sounds so cute). Yes I what to know why!!!! Did it push her out of her bed when she was a kid or what? Teddybearphobia………… uhhhhh…..mmmm…..

It was such a bad start of my day this morning! I went to work by skytrain as usual but today had something difference. The skytrain is always crowded during the rush hours and this morning it was extremely packed.

I was the last one standing in a queue waiting for the train and when the train came, I flocked into the crowd and didn’t even realize that I was standing on the train’s doorstep. Suddenly I was hit by the door which was automatically sliding, and I bumped a man standing next to me. And worse, my big black bag, which I was carrying, was squeezed between the two sliding doors! I was a little bit panic but at that time I was not in the right position to pull it back. Before the train took off, the man, whom I bumped, grabbed my bag inside the train and I just noticed that it was HIM!!!!

He looks like Japanese and I’m pretty sure he’s Japanese. I meet him almost every morning on the train and I find him really cute, he looks almost 30 years old though. When he pulled my bag back inside the train, I looked up in order to thank him but when I recognized him, I could only inwardly say thank you. I was terribly embarrassed for what had happened but luckily he got off at a station next to the station I got on.

I couldn’t help telling this to my colleague and to my relief, he gave me a really nice comfort. He said that if the man was really from Japan, he must have used to this kind of thing and didn’t find it embarrassing at all. What if it matters to him and he throws a strange look to me next time we meet?
